Elementary Putonghua Certificate Course at
Phoenix Clubhouse |

Even though the majority of
our members have already attained a certain level of education, their
schooling or jobs had been interrupted by their illness. The current
education system caters to mainstream students, hence is not suitable
for our members who, due to lack of self-confidence after a lengthy
absence, find it difficult to adjust to the learning environment and the
curriculum.
-
In
addition, more and more jobs have minimum educational requirement or
require particular.
-
Employers
in our society increasingly require certain levels of education or
certificate from their employees. Besides, achievements in education
such as high school certificates would give members a strong sense of
personal satisfaction.
-
Because of
this, Phoenix Clubhouse’s Supported Education program tries to assist
members in realizing their aspirations, attaining their vocational and
educational goals, and obtaining a more abundant life in the community by
continuing their education, which was earlier interrupted by their
illness.
-
In 2005,
our Supported Education Program served 30 members who enrolled in
vocational programs in the community and 2 members in degree courses in
University.
-
Provides
