Volunteers' Voice

I went with Mary Chu, Eva and Eli to work for three hours as a volunteer in the Children’s Activities Room of the Central library. I felt that it was very meaningful. The children were lovely and their spoken English was very good, even better than mine! They were not at all naughty and they paid full attention to the host who told them stories. The atmosphere was fun enough that the children did not feel bored. The best thing was; there were free Disney soft toys. At that moment, I felt like a kid, and I wanted the host to give me“Tigger”,  but on second thoughts, I was really not that young anymore, and I dreaded the outcome of my asking for one! There should be activities like this for children when they are growing up. There is no meaning just taking them to the mall, eating and drinking.
